THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone!

I printed all your comments and went to my room thinking I was just going to read and not respond. But I found myself so overwhelmed by gratefulness that I thought I would write a quick note back to let you know that, with what little time I’ve had to reflect and Aleskandar by my side for a few hours, and with all your heart-felt support, I have been able to get to a point where I am truly looking forward to the race. It will be hard to stay cool and collected enough to get adequate sleep, but with or without it I will enjoy every step of the marathon, regardless of how painful it is. So many of you—some I did not even think were following the blog—have said things that mean so much and so right on point so, again, thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

A rychlo v Slovencine-vdaka za vsetky krasne slova na ktore ste si nasli cas-dostala som sa do bodu, ze sa na ten maraton uz neviem dockat. Drzte palce. Este raz vdaka!

Zuzana

This is Amy, I was in your ESL 1060 class last year! I didn't know you're such an outstanding athlete besides a great ESL teacher! Run, Zuzana~!!!

Zu, you're looking crazy fit. You can see it in the photos. All the best out there. I'm envious - in the marathon you'll have plenty of time to feel, to dig down, and really experience all that is what makes the Olympics the greatest event in the world. Just remember...

L'important n'est pas de gagner, mais de participer.

With pride,

Dear Zuz--
I got all teary eyed just reading all of the sweet things that everyone (even all of the linguistics celebrities) had to say about you. To inspire others to look within themselves--there is great victory in that. Thanks for being my friend.
Run like the wind!

We're trying to catch a glimpse of you on TV (and take a photo). In the meantime we're cheering.

Run, Zuzana, run! I saw you at the starting line, and I'm cheering for you from Deutschland!!! I'm so excited for you. I'm getting teary. (I think it's because I'll be there, at the marathon starting line, in a few weeks.) So exciting to watch this! I just saw you again! Lookin' good, keep it up!!

I just watched the Marathon- Congrats! I am a fellow Ph.D student at the U (different department however) and I do not know where you come up with the time to do what you do- between teaching, grading and studying. I admire you!
